End User Licence Agreement

This agreement explains the basic terms under which Steward Together is made available to groups, treasurers, members, and other authorised users.

Effective date: 21 August 2026

1. Using Steward Together

Steward Together is licensed, not sold. We give you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable right to use the service for lawful group administration, member communication, contribution tracking, accounting, reporting, and related financial record keeping.

You may use the service only for groups and activities you are authorised to act for.

2. Your account and your group

You are responsible for keeping your sign-in method secure and for making sure the information you enter is accurate to the best of your knowledge.

If you are a treasurer, committee member, cashier, auditor, or other group official, you are also responsible for assigning access carefully and for using the service in a way that reflects your group's actual decisions and records.

3. What you may not do

  • Use Steward Together for unlawful, fraudulent, or misleading activity
  • Attempt to access groups, accounts, or data you are not authorised to access
  • Interfere with the service, security, or normal operation of the platform
  • Use the service to distribute harmful code or abusive content
  • Misrepresent financial records, balances, transactions, or membership positions

4. Group records and responsibility

Steward Together helps groups record and present financial and membership information. The group and its authorised officials remain responsible for the correctness of the records they create, approve, or communicate.

The platform supports accounting discipline, but it does not replace your group's governance, approvals, or legal obligations.

5. Availability and changes

We may improve, adjust, suspend, or retire parts of the service from time to time. We will aim to do so responsibly, especially where changes affect active group use.

We do not promise that every feature will always be available in every environment or that every integration will operate continuously without interruption.

6. Third-party services

Some parts of Steward Together may rely on third-party providers such as hosting, authentication, email, SMS, or payment services including M-PESA. Their availability and rules may affect how some features work.

7. Data and privacy

Your use of Steward Together is also governed by the Privacy Policy. Where there is a conflict between operational use and privacy handling, both documents should be read together.

8. Suspension or termination

We may suspend or terminate access where there is misuse, a security risk, non-compliance with these terms, or a need to protect the platform, users, or third parties.

You may stop using the service at any time, subject to any need to preserve legitimate accounting, audit, or legal records.

9. No professional advice

Steward Together is software. It does not by itself provide legal, tax, audit, or regulated financial advice. Where your group needs professional guidance, you should seek it separately.
